Simon Willison released web-edit 0.1a2, a web application for browsing and editing files in a folder. The new version adds a "copy to clipboard" feature supporting both text and image data. Willison built this tool primarily for editing files on different machines via Tailscale, and added the clipboard feature to support his workflow of running prompts on a laptop from his phone and copying resulting logs.
This demonstrates a practical developer tool for remote file editing and clipboard integration across devices. The addition of image clipboard support extends the tool's utility beyond text-only workflows.
